Ok, I just come across this great site.
I have a lot of time which I want to dedicate to some Stars! playing.
I want to run tiny/small game with 3-4 people playing.
I do not see such game open here, and want someone to help me getting start. Do I really need to send email to reserve space on autohost?
And, the concept:
I want all players to design races for the other players. The main thing is that there should not be any leftover points (+-20 is ok I think).
Than race of player 1 go to player 2, race of player 2 go to player 3 ... race of player N go to player 1. It should be a lot of fun design worst race ever and than play some really weird setup.
Please tell me what do you think and if this worth trying to setup and play.

I think only about 50% of the game slots are in use, so unless 50 other games all start up in the next week I don't think you need to reserve a slot
It's a novel idea... I reckon I could make some VERY bad races if I tried, lol...
Here's a first attempt:
AR

all expensive
So... Nice divisor, but appalling tech and good luck finding any new greens... ARM+OBRM = no decent miners... No cheap spacedocks on all those reds you are going to have to colonise... Low start pop AND low growth... Generalised research will make the pain of energy expensive last all the longer...

Have fun finding minerals... Factories are only 3g, but it'll take 50 years for a new factory to pay if off the resource cost... Lots of LRTs to play with... Tech is cheap at least, giving this race a fighting chance, at least in a non-tiny universe (so it can make use of the two starting worlds.)
In a small universe I guess a weaker race would be to change to HE, take rad immune, left shift other habs (1 in 34) and up PGR to 20% (40%)... Might find another world to move too, but still that'll be at half max capacity... I guess the high PGR might make colonising reds a bit too plausible though. Hmmm, designing truely awfull races is harder than I thought.

This will will generate piles of minerals (which if found in the same universe as the above, would actually make it a good race, for trade.) Factories pay off in 10 years, which isn't so terrible... The killer though is the 3% growth. This race had better conquer the universe real early, because it's resource curve will flatline early. Decided to remove CE because the cheaper engines might have actually been usefull... Kept OBRM because it's never going to hit population caps, so might as well deny the diplomatic ability to build decent remotes.
