hosting the game he'd like to play in (I think that was mainly regarding the gen shedule)

Right. The absolute last game that I played in was a slow generating 48 to 72 hour non playing host (not on AH, IIRC was full) for a "special" game. Host quit about 30 turns (well over 2 months) in. Took a break from stars after. Upgraded my computer, didn't reinstall. . .

Anyway, you play in a game I host, you can be certain fo 3 things: Death. Taxes. And your next turn file in less than 25 hours. Period.

Then in the name of full disclosure: did you plan to join the game? If I were to PM you enough personal info, would you have then signed up?
...
With a few very specific exceptions, i don't think that this is actually MY former community.

No, I didn't plan to join your game.
No need to send me more of your personal info. I'm not interested in your personal info, only in your Stars! related info. Also, I joined Stars! community some 5 years ago, so I have a fair chance of not knowing you. Get in contact with one of those "very specific exceptions" here or at RGCS. If (s)he is a trusted member and confirmes you as such, then I'll trust you too.
BR, Iztok

I may need to add a provision that players who own more than 1/2 of the galaxy can't be voted into defeat. . .

If someone owns half the galaxy, I would hope the game is already over. I assume this based games I have played. If we were talking about a 3-5 player game, maybe. I cannot speak for other players, but I would peg it around 35%. That would at least give an incentive for players to gang up on the top players.

Well Sr.Seven,

My game schedules are pretty full at the moment so I can't join another at this time. However, I welcome you to the Autohost Forum and look forward to finding you in a universe at a future date.

Good Luck, Happy Hunting and all that jazz. Wink

Ptolemy
