All good things come to those who wait.
Supposedly, with patience.
Many ideas amid much musing concerning the possibilities surrounding this game we call Stars! While we must all wait until the current game is a bit farther along, some would think that a theme game of many races would be ideal. Floating along with great silliness and nonsense leading the way to the center of the galaxy, where nirvana and the belly button lint both wait as one, we find that the entire subject of this sentence structure has been lost and rendered void by the lateness of the hour and the damage committed against aging brain cells way back in the rowdy days of the 70's.
Like the show.
Be at one with The List. Read the AH forum religiously. Make friends with Ron (he really is a nice guy, just too busy to really chat like some folks). Occasionally remind Coyote of how knowledgeable he really is, because we all like to be bragged on. Then, and only then, will you see things start to happen.
Meanwhile, Dixie slowly dies...

Well, heck-fire! It is easier than jumping off'n a log while eating apple pie, I must say.
First place I would start is here:
http://library.southern.edu/stars/gamesnew.htm
On account of that is where I started. Email Ron if you have any specific questions that the link above don't answer for you. He really is a nice fellar. Not like me at all. So don't let the fact that both of we'uns is from Tennessee fool you into thinking he's a real ornery fellar like me.
http://www.redshift.com/~bluebear/stars.html
Bluebear's site is a wealth of info for new fellars. Read it at your leisure.
Me? Well, I like to think about it some. Come up with a nice little title that gets the players into a bit of a silly mood, so that hopefully they don't start taking things too seriously. Advertise the game, once you have an idea and a title for it. Join The List, http://www.stars-thelist.co.uk/ and advertise your game there. Become a Google member (it's free) and post on the news group. Advertise here. Before you know it, you'll have 5 to 16 players bugging the living daylights out of you to "hurry up and get this show on the road".
Hope this helps.
