I have another eye operation today, hope it goes well. The previous one to put in a drain field worked for awhile, but the drain field area has scarred off, so its not working. Medication is not handling the pressure, so have to have a different drain field procedure done.

They'll put in a tube from the front of the eye to where the new drain field is. The drain field area will have a flat, round piece of plastic laid in it which will prevent scarring.

Scheduled 6 hours from this post. (no, I'm not usually up at this hour, had to go to the bathroom and remembered I hadn't told you folks about the operation yet)

Thanks, seems to have gone well. My eye now has all kinds of pretty colors when I lift the lid (mostly redish). Half of face still numb.

Fair play to you....

I can't even look at the start of the vids without getting a spot of Heebus Jeebus Vomitus.... Shocked

Would you say it's all been a success, though?
Is everything working as it should?

Cool

Nice to have you back and in good condition, Ron.

The videos help to understand what has been done, but the 1.000 things that always can go wrong never show in a promotional.

It seems the drain tube has slipped, or wasn't quite sticking out into the front of the eye enough.

Going back into surgery tommarrow morning to have it re-positioned.

Also, my wife starting have a few real contractions this evening, so may be an exciting weekend. Rolling Eyes

Seems 2006 will be an exciting year ... all babies want to be in it as soon as possible! My wife's sister had her baby Jan. 6 (supposed to be half Jan.), a collegue had hers Jan. 7 (supposed to be end Jan.), and now yours is early as well. Smile (Both boys, so maybe ...)
Good luck with this as well. Wink

The doctor is very pleased how it went, so I see him again on Jan. 23. Much less invasive procedure than last time.

That's good news - so you actually may be able to SEE your new baby Smile Congratulations and good luck!
