I've been silently monitoring the forums for a while now, mostly looking for news about SG. This weekend I found that the rdldev.com domain expired on Saturday. I would purchase the domain, if only to hold it for the community, but there is still a grace period for renewal. crisium.com hasn't been alive in weeks, and starbasedelta.com expires in September.
The fact that SG's domains are expiring without renewal is a sad omen. I read a thread from back in '03 that Empire may not own the license to SG, but no resolution came from it. I'd love to see (aside from Crisium getting funding and finishing the game) the code released to the community to finish. FreeStars 2, anyone? I hate to be cliche, but has there been any update on the funding/licensing issue? I'd hate for all that beautiful code to just sit on Jeff's hard drive and rot.
If anybody in the community thinks they could use rdldev.com or starbasedelta.com, keep your eye on 'em.

. As I understand it, there are security issues (i.e. bypassing passwords) that would be readily apparent to someone reading the code, and would require substantial changes to fix.
