Imagine a game where the MT appears almost every turn beginning from turn 1 and requires only 10kt of minerals to give you treats. What PRT would you choose for such a game?

I suspect SD could be very nice, in terms of trying to prevent other races from merging with the MT. SS could have a go at the same trick, but probably with less success.
Probably any high-econ PRT would be fine. I'd go all techs expensive, as the MT is going to give me all the tech I need, so it's all about having resources and minerals for ship building. I probably wouldn't take IT as jumpgates will give pass their biggest advantage to everyone.
Being able to intercept lots of MTs early is going to be key, so IFE is pretty important, as Hilton says. Correspondingly CE is going to be a very bad idea... I don't think I'd take NRSE though, as the free tech from MT is going to make the high end ramscoops available relatively early.
OBRM is an obvious choice as you are going to get the Alien Miner sooner or later.
I think it might be more fun to have a flow of MTs as you describe, but make them consume 10,000 or 20,000 minerals each.

I don't see IFE as so great as others do... only 10kt materials? Easy enough to use multi-stage booster system if need be.
If stopping others from merging with MT is key, perhaps good old WM might be the ticket, early weapons and combat speed.
