Yep, interested!
LMK when you want a racefile.

I'll be in that. Haven't done any testbedding yet, so please hold a position for me. I can send a non-playing racefile if you need it to hold the spot.
Let me know ASAP if the game is now full.
Will the host be playing?

So what do the current players think of an ACCBBS start. Apparently it has been turned off at present and one player (me) wants it turned on and another wants it off. The host is prepared to go either way.
The way I see it, is that it just takes longer to get into the game with ACCBBS turned off.
It does make a difference however and I would be re-submitting my game file if it is turned off, so perhaps the other player whom already expressed an opinion has designed their race with that in mind.
Post your thoughts here or email directly to our host.

I'm interested, I'm a relatively new online player but I think I have enough experience to hold my own at intermediate/advanced. I've been declared the winner of my first game, Tempest in a Teapot III (grin)

I think that is the whole point of the game, to make it not a race for Nubians!
Only 6 players, distant positions, slow tech, no acc bbs. It seems to me like the host would like you to try it alone and not make alliances early.
so I say it should stay off.

The game specifications mention nothing about ACCBBS which is why I asked the host regarding it. The host also said that he doesn't mind either way and suggested that I pose the question to the players.

At this point, having done well first time, a little humility might do me good. I'm game if I'm wanted in the game.

Quote: | AccBBS stays unchecked (as advertised).
| You're the host and are entitled to select whichever game parameters you want, but I'm unsure as to why you say it's "as advertised".
Game parameters as listed are as follows:
Quote: | - Medium
- Normal
- Distant
- Slow Tech
- No random events
- Galaxy Clumping
Restrictions:
- No CA
- W and C at 75% extra
- no cheats (you can use chaff and split-fleet dodge)
|
There is no mention of whether AccBBS is turned on or off.

I do believe the intention of the host was to put HG, HP, and QS on more even footings...
