It all started with English breakfast ... (split from "Poll: Where are we at?") |

I noticed that too!
But then, I think that if the whole island could "up anchors" and be slowly pushed away from the European mainland, the majority of the population would be all too willing to help.
The major distinction is this;
Breakfast.
Here in the UK, it's cornflakes and milk.
On the European mainland, it's cold meats and cheeses, topped with chocolate sprinkles.
Also, our tobacco products are 10 times the price of similar products on the mainland. Just like our alcohol, houses, cars, holidays...... Doesn't it fill your heart with national pride?

Do you mean the UK population or the mainland population?

No no, it's either chocolate (or marmelade) or cold meats and cheeses. Perhaps one after another but NOT at once. And several people do have conflakes and milk too, and some have eggs, and some don't have anything at all for breakfast...

Well... I already noticed that going to England is very expensive. I haven't been to the other parts of UK yet... But why should I be pride of that? Your holidays should be cheaper, as you can go to other countries
