About buying stars

Can anybody confirm for me that the version for sale by Xplosiv is 2.7? I've got a friend who wants this game, and apparently there is a difference between 2.6 and 2.7. I appreciate any help, and I apologize if I am posting a topic that has been discussed to death.

Hi!
I got from Xplosiv the 2.7i version, that has quite some cheats still enabled. But don't worry, he can download the most recent file 2.6j RC4 from Autohost (http://starsautohost.org/kn2050.htm). The most important thing is he gets the serial number with the package, the rest's on the net.

2-3 months back i bought a copy of stars from xplosiv at
http://uk.store.empireinteractive.com/default.aspx?MID=82A07 BE0AEB0&PID=7B550F5D-2BED-4D5A-8ADE-78B9D6528995

Had it delivered to a friend of mine in UK and then took the serial number. Using that for the present 2.7 version
