Hi!
Since there are several newbie questions recently, I'm ready to host a new game for beginners (players that have only played with AI or (badly) lost in beginner PBEM game(s)). Aim of the game would be to learn how to monster a CA: scouting, establishing of the colony drive, balancing research, estabilishing and defending borders, maximizing economy, tech-trading, limited warfare.
All players would use the same "standard" CA monster race. I'd play an observer 1WW WM in the center of the universe. Through the game I'd give general advices and strategic assessment of player status/position. It would also be possible to buy penn-scanners from me.
Anybody intersted?
BR, Iztok

Make sure to teach them about the fun of not dropping out of a game.
I admit no one really likes to stay around to be repeatedly kicked, but as long as you have a few planets left you can still throw your support behind those who oppose the one who attacked you (or follow the one who beat you - jump from last to about 3rd as you pick up the scraps your ex-enemy gives you).
Seriously those who drop often spoil games - I will always help if I can a race that says they are thinking of dropping as it is much better if they stay in the game.
