Does anyone "Blitz" anymore??

It's been a long time since I played Stars! I vaguely remember that there used to be "Blitz" games played at an appointed time, where turns were generated within minutes (or hours? when the game got really advanced in years) with our without players' turn submissions.

Does anybody remember that? ... or more importantly, does anyone still host such a format??

We don't blitz too often anymore (lack of fresh blood and the oldies have largely burnt out on it) - but the #Stars! channel still exists, as does #blitz and the attendent blitzbots.

You can drop by on IRC at irc.starlink.org channel #Stars! and see if folks are paying attention - don't leave if after 1 minute you don't get a response. Smile
