It takes hints such as if you know their race type and design, tech levels, whether mystery traders are active or not, etc.

I imagine a lot of people would be interested in this. You mind posting this? Would cut down a bit of time doing it manually.
As a matter of practicality, keep in mind to always have at least 1 weapons cheap race on your team in the future. };-)>
It was an interesting game to watch, and occasionally take part, even if in a half-assed kinda way.
Gakl on #stars!
Team IRC peanut gallery/alternate player
(I ran screaming in terror when I found out the universe size was HUGE.)
PS. While I have pathetically rudimentary programming skills, I'd be interested in any sort of administrative position, if *anything*'s available for a lowly liberal-arts-background tech support guy who would love to move from the NW US to SW Canada.

(I clocked it once, and the reception is best between 3:00 A.M. and 4:45
A.M.). Of course, I don't usually tell people this when they ask, "Say,
where do you get your ideas?" I just say I don't know. It's safer."

Heatmizers had weapons cheap, his list of races was just where I'd had it wrong.
Here is the list updated with corrections:
1 Heatmizers non-TT CA, wide hab; weapons cheap
3 0xdeadbeef TT CA, wide hab; all expensive
5 Savage Bovines SD; IFE; elec cheap; wide hab
7 Tsunami 18% IS 5-95 in all three hab; ISB, CE; all expensive @3
9 Flood 18% IS 5-95 in all three hab; ISB, CE, RS; all expensive @3
11 Lagrangians AR; Rad Imm, others centered; ISB; en cheap
13 Charon's Army IT; NRSE, not CE; not @3; 25-75 in all 3 bands; con cheap
15 Bakuhatsu SD; not ISB; @3; wide hab; prop cheap
That means no one had bio cheap, and only one race had each of the other 5 fields cheap

So did the "all expensive" races plan to do no research whatsoever? Not easy to do.

I've put all the IRC team files up on http://teamirc.falldowngoboom.org/
It has our .h and .x files for every year. It doesn't have EAC .h or .x files, but does have their .m files (I grabbed EACvsIRC.m* by ftp every turn).
There are also some other things we used (utilities, text files, the maps posted here).
