Hi
Just swapped to a new Windows XP PC.
While playing Stars I find the Stars start-up screen appears from time to time, as far as I can tell at random. It sits over the game I am playing and the only way out is to hit the Stars exit button which closes the new box and the game I am playing. Unless I have just saved any actions I have taken are lost.
Anyone else come across this? Is there a solution?

I've seen this on most versions of Windows, and also on Linux using WINE. Stragely enough I've never seen it on XP, but then I haven't used it on XP much.

I use Windows XP on all my Machines and have no problems with Stars!
It may be a configuration issue sure, and may be related to the version of the OS being newer. However I would say that the OS is not that main cause, but somthing else.
What though, I don't know. Like I say, I haven't had any problems...
Things to just try in general (May or may not have any effect):
Clean the computer of any Spy or Adware.
Set the Stars.exe on Compatibility Mode
Close other program that are running while you play Stars
Those things are just things to try, no telling what even the cause is at this point, unless someone is familiar with the problem.
Hope you do figure it out!

Edit:
I just noticed the name of the thread.. This second window loading.. Its a different VERSION or stars? Hmmm, my first thing to do would to try deleting or moving to another directory any other versions of stars. You only need 1.. SAH has a backup of amny older versions (uless they got lost when it moved).
