Well so far I'm impressed; people are still playing Stars! I'd have to say it's still my favourite game, but I just don't have enough time to play anymore! I started playing Stars about 7 years ago, but haven't played for the past 2 years.

Someday I will return...and my War Monger race will crush you all! HAW HAW HAW Laughing

Have fun.

Hank

Must be a while ago since he played - or why does he believe a warmonger would be able to survive for long Laughing

Ohhhh...

Aren't we frightened now?

Iztok and Robert are right, Hank! Come and show us what you can do with those warmongers...

Very Happy

Hello,

Actually, I believe that CA and IT are the most powerful, but for that very reason, I never use them in games. I used WM for about a dozen games in a row...more fun and challenging to play without minefields I guess. Really, how often do you see WM win games?...not very often. If playing against an experienced CA, IT, JOAT, SD or SS player, a WM should lose most of the time. Somehow, I won the Starcom Stars! tournament with a WM a couple of years ago. There were many advanced players in that game so I must admit some luck was involved. Anyone remember that tournament? Who am I kidding, I doubt anyone knows me here; that's what happens when players retire Sad .

I was fortunate enough to play in an expert game called Glory of Empires many years ago when there were actually experts around... Asimov, Dan Neely, Verker, Varn, Dorn Peterson ...etc.). Recognize anyone? I'm advanced at best (definately not an expert but can hold my own against one).

Maybe when I'm not as busy at school, I'll start one sometime. I'll keep Iztok and Robert in mind for sure! Very Happy . See you in 2005. Be ready. Laughing

Well - that sounds like you know what you are talking about - seriously Smile

I really honor your way of thinking regarding CA (and somehow IT) PRTs - and I dont play CA either (and attack any CA I can see asap in any game)...

I am looking forward to see you playing in a game some day, but am not sure if as ally or enemy Confused

Robert

Cheers Cheers

Belly up, boys! We have a prodigal returned to us!

Howdy, Hank. Do like I do. I've quit playing to win and simply play to play. Makes my turns go by faster without all the MM and sweating over details that probably don't really matter anyway.

Although, I guess if you're going to insist on playing WM, you will have to battle sim every battle before it takes place to make sure you have a valid chance of winning the battle so you can stay in the game.

C'mon! Take a chance. Forego the analysis and trust to luck! Laughing

We would all love to have you back.
