hi everybody.

sorry for the noob question, hope someone can help me out. Embarassed
i'm playing my 1st human game, in a remapped universe. as i try to assign waypoints, the game acts like the ship is coming from "deep space" pretty far away from my HW. happens to every ship. restarting, reloading, other game versions, computer restarting, changing computer didn't help. Sad currently using 2,7 jrc3. so what am i doing wrong? is it my problem or did something go wrong with the remapping? it sounds to me that the game still thinks that my HW is on it's old/other location... did anybody ever have such a thing? Wink anyway to fix it?

thanks in advance.

cherniy.

The simplest way is to send all your fleets home... ie shift-click your fleets to your home-world, they will "arrive" there next turn irrelevant of the apparent distance and travel time.

I'm not shure but I think that it doesn't matter where they "appear" to be coming from, they are actually coming from your HW so ignore that and just send them to where they should got, HW or nearest uncanned world.

It's an artifact effect of the remapping program. It will go away after the first turn for any ship you move. (Therefore, move them all, even if it's a right click move to the HW itself.)

You can treat all the ships as if they're at your HW in terms of moving them to other planets.

No... since the remapping was at turn 0 it happens only at turn 0. The turn generator knows where your ships actually are. These are at your HW. It is only the user interface that is confused and confuses you in his order.

Main thing is to not forget to set your HW producting factories and mines and research % to 0.

For ships you want to move first turn the best idea is to:
1) select ship
2) shift-click at HW.
3) shift click where you want it to go at first turn.
4) adjust the warp at fleet waypoint tab so it gets from HW to waypoint with 1 turn (if you want to).
5) click at the second waypoint in fleet waypoints list (thats HW name)
6) press delete.
7) select next ship.

For ships you dont want to move first turn ... just send them to HW.

Picture you see is maybe confusing, but all will work.

Except when you are gating them. For details check my post here.

Err, ...

Some weird things happen at the far end of the quasi-waypoint...
I had one player invalidate his race by attempting to move from it to a planet which was at that end...

Also, I believe but am not certain that a fleet can get "cemented" into the far position if it happens to be scanned by another race.

Be careful... thats all I can say...

Smile thanks to all for the fast answers!

let's c what gonna happen as the game progresses. Wink mb it will be over after the first gen, mb i'll have to deal with it till the end of the game. Shocked

btw, does this happen only with specific remapper, or it's a common issue in remapped universe?

thx everybody again!

It is probably possible to make remapper that remaps the universe without such quirks but for doing that the developer should know how to change the *.m# files.

Current remappers i have seen modify only the .xy file.
