A player dropped from a stars game many many years ago. He is right next to you and you are beginning to move into his planets to steal all his minerals. You finally bomb out a rather juicy planet which is 70% for you, and you eventually plan to live there permanently. The inactive player has had a freighter moving from this planet to a nearby planet constantly since he left, and you assume it is transporting excess minerals back and forth. Since you don't have a breeder world nearby this planet and don't want to lose resources from your maxed out world right next door, you only send 500 colonists to control it for now, who are already in orbit along with some freighters to escape with some minerals. You make your moves, colonizing the planet as a waypoint 0 order, then loading all minerals as a waypoint 0 order and flying to the nearby planet and unloading all the minerals as waypoint 1. A swift mineral theft right? Not quite. Remember that freighter constantly flying back and forth? It arrived this turn. While you do manage to colonize it and run away with a nice booty of minerals, the freighter decides to unload 120000 colonists and regains control of his planet.....surprise!
How embarassing, being thwarted by an inactive player. This didn't happen to me by the way... *shifty eyes*

Isn't it funny how humor seems to be lacking in the general population?

Actually, I find it amusing that every single community seems to feel that they're superior to every other community in terms of [intelligence|ability|knowledge|humor]. I've come to the conclusion that every community has good elements and bad (yes, that includes this one), and most are dreadfully boring if you aren't heavily involved in whatever that community is nominally about, and often even if you are.
