OK, I'm now in control of the Hand of Quiik, and there's a few problems here.
1) I have the game .xy file, and the game .m# file, but no historical information files that show any planet recon, or fleet designs previously encountered. I hope you guys will give me a break and allow some Quiik recon; it's going to be bad enough dealing with midgame recon due to minefields. I did expect this in the first place however, so it's not such a big deal and I'll cope with it the best I can regardless of cooperation.
2) I have the feeling I'm at war with at least two (and maybe more) empires. I think it's the Blobs and the Stardazers, but I don't know. I don't know about previous border discussions, and I don't know precisely why the wars started and how committed to war my enemies are (can we back out of them, for instance?) The public announcements in the private forum are entertaining but not wonderfully informative, for instance often leaving out the name of the other party involved, which could be Quiik for all I know.
3) I can't post in the private forum, to get clarification from ANYONE. I'd like someone to give me the post password so I can participate, but minimally I'd like players to PM me or email me (the_zoid@yahoo.com) (zoid@peoplepc.com) and bring me up to speed on your current relationship with Quiik so I don't get blindsided or make things worse by stepping on the toes of the one person who isn't already angry at Quiik.
4) I don't know who the heck is playing my ally. I know my allies race name, but there's no info to link it to an email address I can use (the Autohost/Home World Forum links for private emails NEVER work for me, I just get some spamguard message), and there's no info to link the race to a login name that I can PM. Whoever you are Gannok, please contact me since I cannot contact you.
5) I have to obtain, digest, and act upon all this imformation by Monday? Please hurry, everyone.
I'M NOT AN EXPERT AND I'M OFTEN PROVEN WRONG. TAKE THAT INTO CONSIDERATION WHEN YOU READ MY POSTS.
