Wow, I've already got 16 player (Most of them Noobs the same as BlackRose) willing to give it a shot so thats fantastic! Some of the guys who has submitted to play a long time ago still hasn't responded yet so I'll take the first 16 players with working racefiles by Monday. First come first serve but the guys who submitted for the tournament a while back has preverance till Monday.

By my count, there are now 16 players in this game. So just how exactly do you plan to gen the universe (for the first step). Large/sparse? Medium/sparse and then expand it with the stretch utility to a Large?

Or will you leave it as a surprise just to mess with our confidence level.

What I'm gonna do, is of no ceoncern to you (Oh MAN, I just rhymed )

Well actually what I'm planning is ofcourse take a large, sparse universe and strech it with a small utill called Strech Doh to a Hoge universe

Basically end up having way less planets that normally possible

Simple, ain't it?

Yes, I am playing the german version, but I have no problem in changing to the engish one if it has to be.

I decided to use the english version, 'cause the translation is fine but it's hard to figure out the german description if you only have the short forms like CA and HE

Just checking, but did you get my race file? Actually, I sent a new one about 2 hours ago. Edit: just got your email, so that question's been answered.

Also, Sparse! is the first game, right? Stupid question, but the new race was designed with that one in mind, so just to be on the safe side... heh

I think that the versions are compatible, but I am not sure.
And, most Germans that I know use the English version. Those who have lots of problems with the English language won't play stars! at all. All the articles, this forum and the newsgroup are English, and without those ressources, it's really difficult...

Yep, they are. I played in a game where my little hen was called 'Kleine Henne' and my Speed Turtle 'Tempo-Taube'
And I do have the English version.

Ingame messages were in english btw... Probably in the german version they were in German...?

I play the english version ! And everybody should, 'cause it's realy hard to understand all the articles and posts about stars! if you only knew the german translations.

The translations english <-> german version aren't that difficult, they are mostly word to word. Still, there is no real reason to play the german version, I think...

Oops, I updated the site but forgot to upload it (I've got about 10 sites I need to admin so my personal sites do get negected sometimes

I'll update it now, and remember ro refresh it since it sometimes doesn't update automatically.

The game will not be started due to problems with autohost all games are on hold and show no signs of being taken off hold.

First of all, Relax guys, I know what I'm doing.

I've got a work so I can't update my site evrytime someone sends me a mail, It's called hobby . Besides, I'll email everyone as when I plan on starting. I've actually got about 18 people now but a lot of them I havn't heard from for a while and i don't have their race files. I now have 10 or 11 people who's Race files I have so I'll start the game as soon as I have 16 players. It's a first come first serve type of thingy.

Also, Ron thinks he fixed the problem with autohost so We'll probably still be able to start the game.

Also, the games can be take of of Hold anytime by the Hosts so e-mail your host if it's on hold and all the turns are in.
