Hi
I am posting this for a friend. Please contact him, not me: fegerter (at) compuserve (dot) com

----------------------------
Hi,
I'm looking for a 2 person team that would be interested in a team
game that I'm currently setting up, 4 teams of 2 players in a medium
dense galaxy. One of the original teams fell through as did their
replacement but everyone else is ready to go so it should be a quick
start once we get a 4th team and they get their races set. Rules and
team setup are below. Reply to me here or at:
fegerter (at) compuserve (dot) com.
I'd also be grateful if anyone here would be kind enough to move the
homeworlds in the initial setup for this game. I'd prefer not to do
this myself since I'll be playing.
Game setup will be as follows:
- Medium, dense galaxy (360 planets)
- 4 teams of 2 players
- Accelerated start, no other options checked
- Last team standing victory
- All races other than your partner must be set to enemy
- Diplomacy with the other teams is allowed, but nothing else. No tech
trading, ship swapping etc.
- Game will be on autohost, 24 hour fixed generation, 6 days a week
(per someone's request, no Sunday turns). We'll vote around turn 40 or
50 and see if there's a consensus to slow down the turn generation a
bit.
- Modified start, placing the team races together. More on that below.
- All PRTs/LRTs allowd BUT don't assume that if you play a PRT with a
2nd planet, that the 2nd planet will be moved close to the HWs.
- None of the recognized cheats/hacks allowed
I'll try to place the HWs about 100LY, one team in the middle of each
map edge.
Rgds, Frank

1. As asked by Hyena, skill level?
|
Sorry, wasn't paying attention. As I mentioned, "I am posting this for a friend. Please contact him, not me: fegerter (at) compuserve (dot) com"
However, I'd guess skill level to at Advanced/Expert. Not that that means anything in a team game, though. I've seen experts play terribly in a team setting, and vice-versa. Best to say, "If you want to come to this party, you better know how to dance."

2. I think this is a yes, but the races on each team are designed to work together, correct?
|
Well, only if you are trying to win.

I have never played in a team game before, but they sound like a lot of fun, and I may be interested.

Again, please contact Frank. He will be the host.
Thanks
