First gen 23:59 GMT today, so you'd better get those races in fast.

All LRTs allowed
Game will be played in huge-packed remapped to tiny

Multiple races same player encouraged
Starbase exploit encouraged
UR/CE scrap exploit encouraged
Battle Board overload encouraged
0.2% min damage abuse encouraged

E/W minefield immunity encouraged
Fleet display overload encouraged

Other cheats/exploits not listed here are also permitted (Did I miss anything?)

Is this a serious game idea or a joke?
I probably wouldn't mind playing, if for no other reason, the novelty of it.

Just one thing. Is host playing? If so, that means there's probably not much of a chance for the rest of us. Since multiple races are encouraged, the host could very well have syphoned off 8 of the player positions. And since the race files can't have passwords . . .

 OK, It's Apr 2nd now for most of the world, so this thread should probably be moved out of 'new game announcements.' A couple of people seemed interested in seriously discussing a potential game like this Shocked, so a move to the bar would be cool. Cool

As interesting as it would be to run a all-cheats game, I'm not entirely certain a game that teaches people how to cheat is really a good idea... Laughing

As a matter of fact there has been a game like this advertised on the newsgroup some time ago (1-2 years?), IIRC it was announced by one of the newsgroup trolls (or the newsgroup troll), I don't think it ever started ...

 To furthur confuse things...I've been toying with play-hosting a game like this some time(months)...just haven't gotten around to it for lack of time to play in it...that and I don't think Ron will host a 2.Xi game. I'm not even sure if he'd host a 2.XJRC3 game. Dunno. haven't asked...same reason. Laughing

 'I' patch game? Shocked No, I won't host those, has some serious race cheating problems and other bugs.

'JRC3' patch? Confused Sorry, has the SS pop-steal bug and some others.

Besides, if I agree to host these for you, I'll have to do it for others also. Stars! AutoHost only uses JRC4 to generate turns.

I don't think it was intended to be run on autohost. Dogthinkers was probably intending to host it as a PBEM.

 lol, I wasn't intending to host it at all... If somebody seriously wants to host a game like this (can't be me for at least a couple of months) then obviously it'd have to be PBEM. If somebody else wants to host this game then feel free to go ahead.

As far as the game rules go, I think you'd need to make some minor restrictions - change to non-playing host as an absolute minimum, and possibly also remove 'multiple races permitted.'

 Yeah, I figured that if the '3 hour gens' and 23:59:59 GMT Apr 1st same-day start date wasn't silly enough, then the "apr1" in the email would be clincher... Laughing
