I'm happy to announce that Stalwart has been chosen to be my first 'sub-admin' or 'helper' here on Home World Forum. He has shown his knowledge of Stars!, helpfulness, humor, and maturity in his posts and my dealings with him in the past when he hosted several games on AutoHost.
While he learns the ropes, he will have the temporary rank of Captain. Eventually, he will be able to assign rank points and do other managment tasks.
We all hope that Stars! AutoHost Home World Forum will grow over time, adding more users and posts. I thought it wise to start choosing capable and mature users to assist me in running this web board early before I get a chance to get burned out.
As of this post, Captain Stalwart is granted Moderator status on all non-private forums.

Question to Ron:
Why has EDog not been promoted? I mean the whole duel forum thing...

Sheesh, dontcha think I'm busy enough? I open up the club and suddenly everybody's gotta show that EDog can't hold his own in a 1 on 1! I got two kids and a third on the way (BTW, Ron, how's your kid?)! I got a job! I'm lucky to have two minutes to blitz out a turn anyway, not to mention a series of duels, hosting a game or two, and my other non-Stars gaming responsibilities (yes, I do that too!)! Plus I got this thing about ending sentences with exclamation points (and using parentheses far too often!)!
I appreciate the concern, freakmeister, but I just couldn't take on anything new right now. Check with me after a year of duelling and I might well be reduced to a drooling idiot, chewing quietly on my hair in the corner (of course, I might already be there!). Congratulations to Stalwart for his promotion! I know he'll do a great job.

Well there you go Ron, give EDog a little while and then give him the rank of "drooling idiot, chewing quietly on his hair in the corner".

Sorry for the Delay (was Re: First 'sub-admin' chosen) |

Greetings all,
First off let me apologize for not getting to this earlier, I have been so busy trying to pay my bills and make time for my Girlfriend now that I have arrived in my new home in Albuquerque that it has been a real interesting test of skill to type my long responses in the shortest time possible, even though some would say that it is purely the fact I have nothing else better to do in my life then to ramble on and on about Stars!
Another reason I took so long is that like most of my other posts (as you all may know) I wanted to give a lenghty, though to the point, thank you to Ron for "promoting" me, as well as for sticking with the Stars! Community, even as it's own players come and go... still looking for that one Holy Grail as you all know: Stars! "Slug"... uh... I mean "Super" Nova Genesis.
To start off, thank you Ron for letting me have this oportunity to help you out here at Stars! Autohost. I only wish I could do more to show my thanks for your dedication to the Stars! Community, Your great Autohost (easing some of those Hosting Pains for us few fortunate Hosts), and for providing this wonderful Spell Check!
Until the next time any of you read my lengthy posts , I wish you all well...
Thanks all again and Best wishes,
Stalwart
