Beamer Minimum Damage Bug |

I'm just wondering if there's also a minimum damage bug for beamers as
well. In a game I host, a player has complained about someone using this bug for destroying
him, but I didn't find any torpedo ships, only beamers. But it does appear
true, the attacker is using AMP and the beamers are split up into
over 100 stacks.
Attacker beamer is as follows.
Nubian hull (figures below in stacks)
2x Caps
3x AMP
6x Deflectors
1x Enigma Pulsar
1x Shield
Defender is
Nubian hull
4x Deflectors
1x Enigma Pulsar
2x Mega Poly Shell
3x Caps
3x AMP.
In the initial rounds where the defender shields are being reduced, the
damage is normal, around 1830dp per shot. However when the shields are lowered, the
damage becomes 7104dp per shot. The player seems correct in assuming that
some cheat has been used.
I thought the minimum damage bug only applied to torpedo ships. Can
somebody clarify this bug for me and tell me if this is the same bug at
work?
