I have no idea what you are writing about. I have NEVER cheated in a game and, I have been playing this game since 1996. There is no point in playing if you wish to cheat.
Perhaps you are writing about yourself?

Ptol didn't think so when he was victim in Transformers game. The guy who pulled the backstab was a #1 score IT -f with similar hab. No one trusted the IT after, and my HE 3i crept passed him in score and kept growing.
No trust means hard to organise gang up on the competing monster.

Yep, you are correct here - I hated being back stabbed by a neighbor I was trying to help.
Such is the life of Stars!
As I get on in years of real life I tend to take these things less seriously - heck, we all play to try to win after all.

Quote: | "profitable strategy"
| Rather than a backstab, may be profitable to send a message to all saying "It is our custom to give warning before war. Race X is given notice that we will be at war in Y years."
Other races will trust you more, observing you don't suprise attack. They are likely to start wars first with those they fear will/can successfully suprise attack them.
Try to read into the other races diplomatic styles (honourable/ruthless/warmonger/industrialist/diplomatic/xeno phobic) to see how they will react to whatever you say/do. For example an honourable race is more likely to help you attack a backstabber, while a ruthless race is looking for weakened prey. Warmongers like being part of wars, while industrialists often prefer to stay neutral so they can focus on ecconomy. Diplomatic love talking, they get nervous if you haven't replied to them for a couple years. Xenophobic want to be left alone.
Of course you don't want to start a war that seems unprofitable.

I truely do not know what you are referring to. I have no issue with you regarding backstabbing. The case I mentioned was a game a couple years ago that you were not a part of. So, I don't know what explanation you want.
While we are at it ma, where the hell do you get off, accusing me of CHEATING! Oh please, describe when and how! I recommend that you stop posting. I also recommend that you stop playing Stars! since you are obviously an idiot.

As far as this "cheating" goes, I suggest everyone either drop it or if they have an accusation to make then make it. Its only a game, nothing worth hard feelings/anger over.

I think we have miscommunication over Quote: | Karma may have payed you back for previous transgressions... So, what will be your payback for cheating, then?... Perhaps you are writing about yourself?
| For me, neither of you get good sportsmanship points from this. However once calmer heads prevail, if either of you appologize even while thinking other side is more wrong, you will get lots of credit.
If you wish to debate, try and avoid personal attacks, they suggest you are losing/wrong. Eg: Common fallacies of logic and rhetoric section of http://www.xenu.net/archive/baloney_detection.html
If you wish to debate only each other then I suggest you move it to email or personal message. If you wish to do so in front of us, please include details we don't know so we can actually learn something such as what supposed unpublished at time bug/weakness in game is. Thank-you.

PricklyPea wrote on Mon, 28 August 2006 11:38 | I later emailed to state that we had no NAP in place and would like to set up an official NAP. This was especially important given that the Dukks had attacked the Brutes on the basis that there was no official NAP.
|
When did you send such message? And to whom?
Quote: | When I was about to miss 6 turns on a holiday, Bread freighters moved their own freighters loaded with (presumably) minerals over my in space freighers positioned to defend against a Bread packet attack
|
So you didn't actually read my message offering fuel assistance for those presumably needy fleets stopped at such weird places?
And, as reward to my colonists risking their lives to offer help, next turn he turned all his minefields against them without warning. Serves me right for having let that one pass.
Quote: | I could be wrong, but this looked like a prelude to uploading minerals to my freighters and attacking me while I was away
|
If you didn't actually dream that one, please explain why the "loaded-freighters manoeuver" was needed, then. Also, why didn't you consult me about the matter, same as you say you did when another race attacked another different race.
