That's easy, in explorer go to Tools, Folder options, than the File type tab, there you can make a new file type (.m .r ...) associated with the right program (Stars!).
It also works if you double click on a file and you're asked with which program you want to open it, check the box that says "always open with this program". (.h files won't open but I think they will be associated anyway.)
The above might be a bit different with NT ... ![Confused](images/smiley_icons/icon_confused.gif)

My apologies to all for taking so long to get back to this. Work has been very busy for a few weeks.
The problem seems to be solved. I have been sending .m and .h files for several weeks, without zipping, and I have not yet had one problem of complaint.
1) I followed the suggestions above, and the files are now accociated with Stars!.
2) I found a way within Netscape 7 have the files types recognized. Offhand I do not remember what I did, as it was a few weeks ago, but if anyone wants to know I will look it up.
The only thing I did wrong... is that I did both #1 and #2 above at the same time. So I do not know which one really fixed the problem.
