Sides:  not a US person I see. The north team races are all named after ACW generals. (I think)
To clarify:
North:Chaberlain,Meade,Grant,Reynolds,Sheradin & Sherman
South:Yallitians,Butterflies,Space Invaders,Tweety Birds,Arachnids,Apotropaics

Not US indeed (from Belgium as you see on the left), so I completely missed that  ... Grant rings a bell about being a general, but I wouldn't even know what "ACW" stands for ...
