Argh this game was so fun yet so frustrating! I went with a similiar race design to Manic, an IT with great factories and only weapons cheap. This lead to me being behind in tech against my neighbours for all of the game. Unlike Manic I did not enjoy peace and had to fight hard from turn 2413 until 2450 to defeat the Shima with tech assistance from the Drakh. This was a very tough fight and it could have gone either way. I was able to sneak in a couple of attacks due to some careful observation but then again he also snuck in many attacks on me due to my lack of observation..
At the end of the game I was in a fight with the Imperium, who were steamrolling me. I had just hit Weapon 20 but was skipping turns due to real life issues and by then I was so far behind it was hard to keep up production. Also missing key techs like prop 11 and elec 11 gave him a significant tech advantage. I am sure that if the 40 years of war with the Shima hadn't crippled me so much it would be a very different story...

I got lucky with this hab, seeing lots of greens in my space and in my neighbour's space. I wouldn't play 1 in 7 non immune again I don't think. The terraforming was really nice with two narrow bands however. My fac settings were super nice but I didn't get a chance to build many until after the Shima were defeated, which weakened me so much that my strategy of just crunching my way through expensive tech didn't pay off. I did however catch up a huge margin between 2450 and 2475... it just wasn't enough.
I would really like to see Manic's race posted!
