Ashlyn and I have decided to co-host a new game and one of the reasons why this game needs two hosts is the planned game tempo.
The word remorseless has two meanings:
never stopping or impossible to stop
AND
severe and showing no sadness or guilt
Which sums up the concept of this game which is to generate the game every 24 hours 7 days a week without stopping and if a player misses a turn - tough.
We are not without some mercy so each player will be given two White Flags which they can wave (e-mail us) to request a halt in the game, but they must do this at least 12 hours before the planned gen and each player can only do this twice in the entire game.
Other than when a white flag is used the game will not stop. If a new bug is discovered or a battle goes wrong we can note it for discussion later but the game goes on - remorselessly with no quarter given.
The outline of the game is small/packed universe with slow tech. Usual cheats forbidden. Probably 6 to 8 players. Skill level - to be determined by the response.
We will flesh out the game later but we wanted to put out a trawl for potential players first and we can then fine tune the game set-up later - for example are CA banned etc., by player discussion.
I don't think players need to be too worried about missing turns provided they can form alliances where the other player(s) can play their turn if they have to be absent for a short period or the internet goes down.
Hosts will not be playing.

no AIs. just listed the whole list... only Slow Tech and Accellerated BBS will be checked.
I did have a question on whether or not Random Events and wanted to discuss it.

Sorry, should have added Slow Tech - suffering from Slow Brain this morning as a result of 3 days continuous television watching of UK Jubilee events, most of which were conducted under heavy rain. Typical UK weather.

If we could get one more then that should be enough to start. This is an experimental game concept so if it only lasts a few weeks that should be enough for the players to decide if it was successful and worth trying again in a larger format.
We could start with just the 3 but then we would probably have to ban alliances so it didn't become 2 against 1. We could of course ban alliances anyway even if there were more than 3 players. For example, allow communication between players but everyone has to be set to enemy from the outset?
