I'll take the last spot.
I have 5 games on autohost, but have done pretty well in them. You can count me as an experienced, if you like.
I am GMT -5.

A suggestion:
Perhaps tell us what the teams will be and then generate 5 or more universes that we choose from. Each player ranks them and highest score is what we play.

Kaloth wrote on Sat, 06 June 2009 11:04 | I know AlexTheGreat has a tool for remapping HWs, maybe he can help. You definitely need a third party to do this and check race files, players should not have any idea of the universe layout before designing races apart from the knowledge that their team will be together, and that the map is split into (assuming 4 teams) quadrants for each team. Pretty much exactly how Open War 1 was set up.

The only tool I have is a mod where the Viewer 50 becomes a 4000/2000ly penscanner. Then I can open any non-AR player's file & see where every planet is including the HWs.
I then export planet info, dump it into a S/S &, since planets are listed left to right, I can easily determine whether there are 6 races in each hemishere & with a closer examination whether those 6 races comprise 2 teams.
On average each gen takes about 2-3 minutes.

You need to move both HW & HW2.
Actually, if there are a few of them then the number of gens needed to get a good universe would increase quite a lot since, as I've said before, you cannot easily move planets between east and west & you certainly could not allow the HW & HW2 to be in different quadrants.

It'll be interesting then to see how well the team members work together, as they'll likely be going in with very different ideas how to operate. Also, there'll be at least two teams who will have a good idea of what each other will be planning now, so we could end up with two or more very similar teams.
