The main problem with regens is that it gives players the opportunity to look into the future by looking at the initial gen. So one might get the chance to see what forces an enemy actually brings to a combat, or that the enemy attacks when/where one did not expect thus ruining the surprise Shocked

OTOH, if the turn gened without giving all players reasonable notice that the gen was about to occur, say because the turn had been on hold or something, it is not fair to those who did not submit for there not to be a regen. What is one to do?

To start this discussion I'll state my ethical position. If I am calling for a regen I do not download the gened turn. If I look at a gened turn and I submitted for that turn then I will not resubmit for the regen.

Any thoughts? This situation has resulted in some nasty altercations in the past and it might be helped if the community developed some ethical norms for the situation.
