The galaxy was once home to two advanced races: the noble Orions, and the brutal Antarians. They had a big war. The Orions won, and put the Antarians in space/time prison. Then the Orions left mysteriously.
Other races are now figuring out space flight, and the Antarians are figuring out escape...
Donut shaped galaxy. Orion homeworld is all by itself in the centre. Unfortunately the Antarians (host) have a IT 1WW set up on the planet.
Each player is one of the races from MOO, which is a predefined PRT with a different crippling requirement. For example the Silicoids may be 3i HE required to have x points left over in race creation wizard, and being xenophobic would set other players to enemy and attack all orders. Dorloks would be SS, Psilons get best research settings, etc.
Diplomacy would be limited to in game messages with xenophobic races only allowed to send messages to all players (rather than individual).
All players must set host to friend and host will set all other races to friend. Every once in a while the host will gate out and attack one of the front-runners with his tech advanced fleets designed to destroy rather than capture. Host knows all your race passwords, will peak at your turns, and will use that against you as Antarians (advanced tech to spy on all).
No public scores but everyone will know all the others scores during an election year via the host.
Ways to win:
1) Defeat the Antarians. Be the only race in orbit and/or inhabitting the planet of Orion (Antarian HW) at the end of any turn.
2) Diplomatic victory. Every X number of years there will be an election for supreme leader. Players with 2 highest scores compete. Get 2/3 of the player votes (based on score) and you win!
3) Wipe out all other players.
Host can't win but will try to last as long as possible. Host will likely have certain game setup advantages such as MT toys.
