Just wondering and curious...
Are there any games similar to stars! which has a lot of features and strategy.
Obviously i want check out anything that comes to being as fun as stars and simple(graphics..like in few MBs) at the same time

There are quite some games similar to Stars!, but as "simple"... Only old games would fit there, like Spaceward Ho!, RTFS1 or MoO1. "New" games are fitted with much more/higher quality graphics to fit in few MBs. -New- in quotes, because Ascendancy isn't new, but with it's 50+MB it was the first strategy game I could't put on my 486 (or was it 286?) because I didn't had enough room on 80MB disk.
OT: The first one game of all that didn't fit on my disk was Wing Commander 1. To made room for 8.4MB on 16MHz 286 with 21MB seagate 225 I killed most games and several utility programs (IIRC Dbase 3, there were no Windows at that time on my comp to make lots of room fast  ). I've never regretted that move!
Eh, nostalgy. Obviously I'm geting old.

One fav of mine was "Fields of Battle" (FoB). Its a turn based world war strategy game.
Yesterday i found the full version!!!! to download!.
It has lot of good features,startegy like stars and at the same time..<10MB. I think it also has PBEM. Try it out you will like it
