craebild wrote on Sat, 12 March 2011 00:14 | I would like to know the answers to a few questions. I am sure the answers can be found somewhere on HWF or the Wiki, but I haven't been able to find them. Perhaps I just haven't looked thoroughly enough...
Wormholes cannot be detected to full scanning range as they act as if cloaked, but just what is the cloaking percentage ?
Minefields also cannot be detected to the full scanning range, but what are the rules for detecting minefields ? I know a minefield can be seen if you have a ship within the minefield, but if you don't have a ship within the minefield, what then ?
I also know there are certain rules as to how fast a wormhole decays, but I don't remember the exact rules, could someone help me here ?

75% for Wormholes. Once spotted, you know they are there.
I learnt that the hard way.
As for minefields, 75% and/or if you can scan their centre and once spotted, you know they are there.
From the stars help file.
Quote: | A mine field is 75%
cloaked if you haven't seen it before. Minefields are always cloaked 75% from non-penetrating scanners.
You can see both the center and radius of another player's minefield under these circumstances:
¨ The center of the minefield is in range of your penetrating scanner, OR
¨ You have hit the minefield at least once and the center is in range of your normal scanners. OR
¨ You are currently IN the mine field.

Didn't know about a wormhole decay formula, though I guess there will be one ...
Edit - Formatting.

nmid wrote on Sat, 12 March 2011 12:09 | @craebild, I helped too
Btw, I was checking your new game announcement, how come there aren't any game stories for your completed Wheel-of-life I or II?
@neil, could you tell me where you found that information?
I would like to know so that I could refer to it as well, for other questions I might have.
Thanks.

Sorry nmid, you helped too, of course. Thanks for the help both of you.
As for there not being any game stories for the Wheel of Life I-III games, it seems no one wrote a game story for any of those games
