If I understand question right...
I believe you have 7.5 moves before disengage. If your ship speed is battle speed 2.5 that means enemy only has 2 turns to get shot in because 3'rd turn your gone (disengaged).
If you are battle speed 1 then you are gone on turn 8 which means he has 7 turns to intercept.
If however you have large freighters that normally has battle speed 1.25, but slowed down to 0.5 battlespeed due to pop on board then even an old junk x-ray laser man-jet destroyer may kill your fleet as he has 14 turns to work with. (Such a destroyer is happy to risk warp 10 for a chance)

Two more of my favourite battle plans:
any/any/disengage makes you disengage AND fire back
(used for long range missile boats to shoot at fast beamers
without chaff in range)
none/none/maxdamage makes your chaff stay where it is and be out of range of move2.25 range3 beams in first turn.
just in case...
