My vote is just banning alpha and beta torps and allowing torps on starbases.
So is mine. It tackles the perceived issue effectively with the least amount of disruption.

Me too. Banning alpha/beta torps on ships, but allowing them on starbases. Sounds easy enough to police and should avoid the worst of the abuse.

Sorry, I just got back from vacation. I would vote NO as it is alot of work to test chaff to handle Starbase fire (not that my vote will change the outcome). I may have to change my race design however - it is a much more defensive game with this change.
I do have a question: Is it ok to have 2 or 3 alpha/beta torps per wpn slot on Starbases? or do we have to fill up a slot first before putting alpha/beta torps on the next slot?
