Hi ,
after several player has asked me about a challenge against AI here we go.
Will setup the game the next days/hour's and upload here the files.
Story:
You are the last Outpost in the universe. You are behind in ships, resources, Tech and everything else. But you know that the other races
are real week and wait for your chance.
At year 2450 you are ready to show the other races that you are the real Ruler of the Universe.
Rules:
Standard
Except: Shaffs , Heal after gating , Split fleet dodge allowed
Settings:
- You play the Standard Race ( Joat)
- You play against 15 AI Expert
- You start in year 2450
- You have Starting Tech , Ships only around 1 Million Pop
Winning conditions:
- own 180 Planets
- Kill at least 8 AI ( no planets and Ships Left)
Score : for the fastest player

3.Player 1 Point

"Standard race (JoaT)", is that the Humanoids standard race ? Those standard races that comes with Stars! are not very powerful races.
Starting tech, ships only, about 1 million pop", does that mean only tech 4 in each tech field, no planets, about 1 million pop in ships ? If so, how many of those ships are colonizers, and how many are scouts/destroyers/frigates so they can scan planets ?
Is prescanning allowed, to learn where there are useful planets and which of the AIs is where, and what type ?
What size/density is that universe, and where in that universe does the race start relative to the AIs ?
That might be an interesting challenge, though I am not certain whether I have time to try it.

Yes the standard races are not strong. ( AI is even weeker)
It will be a small packed univers where I gen the first 50 years with mineralalchemie or how ever it is named in english as
Planet order.
So you will have the strting Tech ( all@3) for a joat and a HW with around 1 Mill. POP.
Prescan is alowed by standard rules. ( but hard by all the enemie ships).

So the race is fixed, but the seed isn't?
I would have thought that fixing the same seed for all players but letting the player choose their own race traits would remove random chance and bringing in actual skill.
I'm fine with keeping it limited to JOAT (i.e. non IT race).

I tried it out and I got squashed in year 19...
Stupid HE neighbours with their stupid metamorphs and their stupid shield stacking :@

This is fun. Some Polly just took out my star base at 2460. They seem better than I remember at sniping my fleets early (with the iron crunch).

You are making a general statement that while being true "most of the time" but it doesn't make the game any easier in this situation .

Was most times hit F9 so 100 years earlier should be possible.
