Building first invasion fleet - should be ready in 3 turns. I am attacking Shadalove world Buttercup in 2 turns (with a small invasion force)
Andrew if you look on Dans turn the world (Basket Case)next to yours (Denon) is a small pop that you could pop drop with the fleet you have at Denon (and it only has 1 ship guarding it which you should beat) it you think you can hang onto it that would be great but even if you cant it would be worth taking it and then evacuating as you would remove a threat (its IT so they would be able to gate stuff) and may pick up a tech level.

Hey All,
I'm now back from my vacation and settling into my old routines - for better or worse.

Anyhow, I was wondering how things were progressing in our CTF game. Anything new to report? Lots of those Shadallolf scout cruising around. Any other sightings?

We really should try and knock as many of those out as we can.

I'm going to start a wolf/lamb trading thing like suggested in our forum. I'll transfer some beta destroyers to everyone and then attack them with some Yak scouts. This should bring everyone up to level six weapons.

It doesn't appear that everyone is using the "blu6" password.

Have we heard much from Pepin???

Everyone should be using the forum - how is that going? I wanted to send this via email, but I'm also going to post it in the forum - so please reply there.

I'm going on a holiday tonight, and I won't be returning until Sunday, June 1st.

I've asked Joe to look in on, and take care of my Angst while I'm away.

But while I'm posting here, I might as well place the outline of my Angst action over the next 8+ years - sense I've already typed it up and sent it to Joe.

Angst plan of action:

2402: Current totals- 33 factories, 160.1k pop, 197 resources.

Build 21 factories.

2403: Totals- 54 factories, 188.9k pop, 248 resources.

Build 28 factories.

2404: Totals- 82 factories, 222.9k pop, 313 resources.

Build 35 factories.

2405: Totals- 117 factories, 263k pop, 392 resources.

Build 20 factories, 45 mines, and start researching construction.

2406: Totals- 137 factories, 310.4k pop, 461 resources.

Continue research construction up through (and beyond) medium freighter.

2407: Totals- 137 factories, 361.5k pop, 512 resources.

Design a "Quick Hit" medium freighter - with a fuel mizer, fuel tank, and no shields or armor.

Build 3 Quick Hits; send out the Santa Maria (to colonize the best looking planet with in 1 year's reach), build new Santa Marias (1-3), and research construction 4 (if extra resources are available build factories.

End of turn totals- 137 factories, 359k pop, 510 resources.

2408:Totals- 137? factories, 411.2k pop, 562? resources.

Design a "Space Invader" privateer - with a fuel mizer, three fuel tanks, and no shields or armor.

Build 4 Space Invaders; send out the Quick Hits fully loaded with pop to the planet just colonized by the Santa Maria. Send out the new colony ships to the best looking nearby planets. Build more Santa Marias if needed.

Set the queue on Custer and new planets to autobuild up to 500 factories, then up to 500 mines.

Research 0%

End of turn pop on Custer - around 345k

2409: Pop on Custer - around 400k

Send out 4 Space Invaders full of pop to best looking planet. Send out new Santa Marias as appropriate.

Quick Hits should be returning to Custer next year, so building more Space Invaders shouldn't be necessary.

Continue with factory and mine production. Make sure iron mining is large enough to support near future privateer production (it will eventually need to be up toward 150kT/year).

2410 on: Maintain 300k pop on Custer until reaching 510 factories, then grow up to 550k pop, 935 factories, and 825 mines. Continue colonizing and moving pop to new worlds.
