What do you want to hear? The theoretical CPU-Speed or the real (overclocked) CPU-Speed?

Well, I don't think many of us have a PC only for playing Stars!, although it is indeed a good reason to have one Cheers

Just mainstream PC level I guess. Maybe the results of the poll would have been different if the question were "on what lowest level of PC do you still play Stars?" but the question is obviously intended to detect what is the average PC for the current Stars player (so S!SNG can work on most of them) (well, for when it comes out a new poll will be needed Rolling Eyes )

my 2 cents

Funny you should say that..coz until a few weeks ago when I finally got the bits together for this P166 I was playing on a 486 with win95...and win3.11 runs happily on a 386

Interesting to see the 700-950 MHz range is not as popular as the others. I guess many were waiting for the next pentium generation before to invest in a new PC?

Or players were waiting for the specs to S!SNG to be definitively stated before to invest in the PC that would allow to play it adequately? Shocked After all, what other game would be needed then? Who would care about the hyper ultra last generation of 3D graphics once Supernova is on your machine? Very Happy

My PC is 6 years old and I can't afford a new one. How about having S!SNG on Xbox Live? Very Happy

Should S!SNG actually get finished before anyone thinks about consoles?

If going to console is the solution to finish SNG, then I have no problem thinkink about anything. Although you can be sure I won't buy it (first because I don't own a console and probably won't, and second because I think this kind of game needs a keeboard and a high resolution screen, and no kid around screeming he want to kill a japanese gorilla throwing barrels at Mario...) How about Stars! Super Nove Genesis on an Amiga, so none of you will be able to use your current PC. Oh and, heh I got a 167 Mhz Pentium, was free, I have windows 3.1 on it (it was admittedly designed for 95 but hey, it runs FAST)
