Is anyone interested in a utility that uses your Stars! f## file to create a VEC overlay for the Notebook utility.
I made and am using a utility that allows me to view ship fleets of size 5 or larger (fleet size is user specified) on the Notebook map. These are shown as triangles with opposition fleets in red and friendly fleets in blue.
Makes for a nice way to view the arena of strategy. All scanned fleets are easily kept track of.

I think that would be quite useful!

Just wish there was a nice way to track ship movement over time, instead of the straight-line with hash marks that Stars! has... I want to see if enemy fleet #22 has dodged much in the past x years etc.

Greeting Blue Turbit,

That would prove to be a very usefull tool indeed (providing players with the ability to filter out fleet files and trading with other players).

Do you know if it would be possible at all to have Stars! Notebook be able to generate 1 pixle lines between planets that have a Stargate around them connecting to planets that have another Stargate with similar limitations? If anything I am still learning the programing language (currently infatuated with web page design and HTML coding). Oh well... I guese that is what XTreme Boarders is for... Very Happy

Thanks and best wishes,
Stalwart

Hmmm, that would be a tough mission to accomplish. Smile

OR something where you tell it to draw a line between all planets of race X that are <=300 LY apart.

Thats harder than it sounds... I know, since it hasn't yet been done.
