the blitz forum would be for people who just want to play a quike 4 or 5 hoar fast pased game. somebody, problibly the person who will host it will make a topic. they will describe the # of players, setings, verson exc like the game anouncements forum. like the duiling club, the game will not be on autohost. once the game has started, the host should leave a post saying the game has started so the topic can be locked or better yet, the host will deleate the topic if that is possible.

As far as planned blitz games ala "I have 5 hours to spare on Saturday from 2pm-7pm GMT. anyone want to blitz?" are concerned I think the new games forum is sufficient.

Not having the long hours to idle on IRC anymore I don't know how close the relationship between AutoHost and #Stars! is. But a blitz forum would likely closen/create one.

The more important question I think is: Is blitz play sufficiently different from PBEM to warrant its own forum? Are there aspects of Stars! that would be sufficiently better suited to a specific forum that the Bar or the Academy?

Best ask a blitzer. I want but do not have time for such frivolities Very Happy
