Greetings all,

A situation has occured recently in the game Sky Harbour 3 where one of my neighbours has been set to AI control (noooo,,,, the computers are taking over!)

Ah hem, anyway, was wondering, if when that person was playing you were set to friend, then what would happen to the friendly status when the AI assumes control of the race?

Has anyone come across this in any of their games?

Pleased to hear your thoughts

Recently somebody asked what setting to AI actually does, I think it just means that the turns are skipped and nothing really happens in the players turn, the orders set are still carried out and relations won't change.

I can't find the post, the search function just doesn't give me any results?!

Yes, seting player to "Inactive" on AH doesn't mean a thing.
Simply the script won't wait for that players' turns. In order
to change to true AI control one would have to contact Ron and
ask to make an actual change.

Yep, Regiss is right.

The "pink" status only means he's inactive - and the computer won't wait for him to send a turn.

If he went out your "friend", he'll still be your "friend" (unless he snuck in and changed his settings Wink - Same thing applies to enemies -

I don't think that the AI pays any attention to how you treat it or what your relations with it are like. Therefore, even if the AI did take control of the race I don't think that it would be your friend.

The only time I have seen the AI ally with anyone is when you have the 'computer players form alliances' option checked. Then the only people they ally with is other AI's.

What AI's?

Or are you just talking in general?

The player is now set to "inactive" meaning - Crikey and this other race are still friends - he can still gate into his planets if he wants. (assuming he has a gate.. Smirk)

I was just speaking in general. Obviously if that player is simply inactive then there wouldn't (and couldn't) be any changes to diplomatic ralations (or anything for that matter).
