I now have weaps5, thanks to the Angst. I'm going to build a few minigun armed destroyers on the theory that I'm going to be sweeping lots of minefields. The alternative is beta-torp destroyers. Any advice?

I'm going to upgrade my starbase as well since I expect a direct attack before long. It'll only be at about 50% capacity for now.

EDog hit my northeastern colony -- the one he's already surrounded with a minefield. He failed to take the colony but now he knows I'm IS. I'm going to dive my X-ray destroyers into the field at warp 7 to try and get him out of there, my calculations show about a 72% chance of them making it through the field unmolested.

Enemy colonies are popping up all over the place. I'm really starting to feel lonely and outnumbered out here. The only ally I can see is Joseph's colonizer coming to take the 2nd best planet I've found. Sad

I'd just like to say "Doh!". My wolf/lamb sites were a bit of a bust because my wolf didn't have enough teeth. New wolves are on the way, but it'll take a couple of turns. Sorry for the botch up, everyone! In the meantime, enjoy your weapons tech from Dan.

Warning Colony clash
Andor � I have already colonised Desolate, try Amontadillo instead.
Atreides � The Aden have colonised K9 try dropping the colonists on Kutuzov instead or add them to Alcoa.

Did anyone else see the sheer number of colonists on McCellan (2800tons!) this must be a 100% or near for the IT, which makes Mitchell next to it a prime site for them as well (they appear to have colonised it as a MF came back from there � I will confirm with my scout next turn). I am changing my plans and sending 50CMF (CrobyMiniFrigates) and 20 Bombers to try to knock them out (ETA 8 years odd) we cant afford 2 100% that close to Andor�s homeworld. Andrew if you have any ideas on this let me know, I am aware that you will be growing your econ on your homeworld for at least the next 5 years but we need to work out some kind of double team move. (I plan to support my attacking force with 3000tons of flying troops)

PS sorry about the 2nd best world but look at it this way - I can have it up and churning out ships in 10 turns, it would take 15 to 20 for a hp like you to do that Andrew.

Darn -- I'm hemmed in on all sides by enemy and allies alike. Not used to playing in such confined quarters.

Yep, I noticed. Not much I can do about it at the moment since the RiotGrrlz are putting direct pressure on me already. The fact that they are colonizing east of me makes it even worse.

It would be good to get some warships up here guys otherwise its not going to be long before a homeworld changes hands...
