Right - we know now that pepin is not comming back, and are resigned to pretty much righting off his race (Dan if you ever need anyone to run it for a few years I will). We will now only use it for Scouting and "Terror Ships" (much later).

Someone posted on "Pepin" that they were tired of Learning experiences so let start winning this (having come second in my last game a winner takes all where I lost to my longterm ally (Just) I fancy a win as well).

First Atredies - get those 2 50% green worlds in front of you colonised and about 1000pop on each (your homeworld should stay at about 3800 - 4000pop) so you can get Space Docks up and then start colonising from those.
Also - Please Please Transfer your OA ship to my control (my FTs are 1-2 years away from it, if they join they can take it to Hull in 1 year! - it will then be at Dans worlds improving them in 3 years) set the orders at the next waypoint to Transfer Fleet (to DaShain Aiel) set this waypoint as far as you can travel in one year toward Hull.

Andorians - doing well, try to keep the Riot Grlzz pined in the corner and keep pumping out the pop (when you have Marla up and running I have a plan).

In 5 years my homeworld is maxed (for current pop) in 7 I will have gates and Frigates (If I have been given wep 5 and energy 7 Laughing then I start pooring out assault troops).
I will then put up a gate a Cirrus which is in range of Nifelhelm so Dan can gate his ships to the frontline.

One last thing - I would like to put in an order for more OAs say in 5 years? - and I would like to pick up some of the Aden Germanium (I will send 2 400t privateers in say 7 or 8 years).

Right anyone else got any ideas
(These are only humble suggestions)

Good points, Joseph. You're right, we should be playing to win. I think I was just concentrating on our weaknesses and not looking for weaknesses in our opponent.

So far we've seen a lot of action up in the northeast, and we have the Andromedans in the southwest, but maybe there's a gap somewhere in between?

We haven't seen much, if anything from the Naphtas and the Soviets, they might also be weak and targets for attacks. If we can gang up on weaker areas we can force the Reds to counter us - which is often more favorable than waiting and countering their attack.

If we can get a bunch of mini-gun frigates going early we can force the war early and keep pressuring them from the start.

We can also randomly transfer some of our large warfleets into the Shade's stealthly hands - maybe when a ship type becomes obsolete - and then they can still be effective (cloaked)harassers.

Group 5 destroyers together - with mini-guns or bazookas and a shield to effectively sweep the SD's minefields. We also have to start thinking about getting our own minefields up - speed traps and standard.

Anyone else have some fresh thoughts?

Dan

I'm going to need support up here in the crowded corner, or else I'll get pounded. I can't spend too much on guns because they're expense and that will put a major crimp in my economic development.

Joseph, you can take as much Germanium as you can carry.
