Hi guys,

This came from Ron.

Re: CTF Team 1 img tag allowed Tue, 03 June 2003 21:41

Graphics can be embedded directly into a post, visible to the members of that forum. So, if one of you needs to let others see a gif or jpg etc, instead of posting the URL that they have to click on to get to, they can see the image directly in the post itself.

Maybe we can post the XB files here and edit the posts to replace new graphics...

Okay... what I will do is when I create a new map I will edit my posts in the List of Data thread to display the new map and the old maps will be archived on my web-page in case anyone wants to go back and look at them.

How do you get the graphics into the message. I tried just pasting and that didn't work. If you know how, please explain it to the rest of us.

Thanks

Yeah, a question I can answer...
When writing your message there are a bunch of buttons above the text box (B I U etc.). The ninth one (on my machine) looks like a little picture. When you click on that it asks you the web page address of the image. After typing it in and hitting OK it inserts the following (imagine square brackets where I have curly ones):
{img}http://homepage.usask.ca/~tjl128/engr/stars/CTF_2410.pn g{/img}

which means of course that you do not have to use the button you can just type in the above information (using square brackets of course).

I hope this helps.

I don't have a webpage to send it to so I'll just send you any XB images I generate.

Sounds good to me! I think I have about 30 MB of space that I can use for my web-page... hopefully that will be enough. Laughing
