Its getting crowded in here.

If I count correctly I've got 3 enemies at fairly close range. I've already found one of their colonies with 42K people on it. Awfully early for such a large colony, isn't it? I've got two colonies now and am shipping 2 medium freighters worth to them in order to get them going, even though my HW hasn't reached 400K yet.

Killed an enemy scout at my HW last turn and am sending my destroyer after another this year.

Researched Energy up to 4 last turn. I'm at 7/0/2/4/0/0. So I'm now building med freighters with fuel mizers on them to populate my second planet. Back on to Energy research for the next while. I moved up to 6th place! Wohoo!
I've seen my first Shadollolve scout at the periphery of my scanner range. It's coming towards me, but I don't think it'll see my homeworld with penetrating scanners. It's not coming that close. My homeworld, Hull, is sort of on the other side of a "black hole", a region of space where there aren't any stars. That's good for me because it means its unlikely the enemy will be sending any scouts directly through it to find new worlds to colonize.
Next turn I'll probably start setting up a wolf/lamb site for everyone.
That's all for now.

I made con4 last turn - now at 3/6/4/4/3/3. Starting to move population, but unfortunately there aren't that many tasty planets nearby.

Need to make some more mines, then I'll start with the wolf/lamb trading to get everyone up to weap6.

If anyone sees destroyers moving around and wants to know their design - we can transfer some scouts my way and use the WM to see their makeup.

Currently in 4th place.

Dan

Actually - more interesting than the Proton colony of 42k people at Canis Major is the fact that he has 3 MF in orbit with a full load - and he has a full Privateer moving from Canis Major to hit McClellan next year and another full Privateer from Canis Major to hit Radian next year. I wonder if the Protons are IT - and Canis Major is their second starting planet?

I would definately keep an eye on that planet - maybe keep a scout there - maybe even send some more destroyers in that direction (planet hop from Denon to hide a little bit).

Or transfer that scout that is there to me (Angst) and I can see what the startbase design is - that might tell us if he's IT.

I took out a Shadallolf scout last turn. It has no scanner, futher confirming the whole JoaT thing. Also they have IFE, (feul scoop).

I just found a potential 73% World this turn with lots of lovely greens, I'll start colonising next turn.

That's all

Not much to report yet, I've found habitable planet and colonized it, and I'm remote mining another. I've seen some of shadallolf's scouts, but they were only on the edge of my scanners, which have fairly long range. I'm currently in 12th place, but I'm always a bit slow to start.

Dan, I hope you can get me to weapons tech 5 pretty quickly. I'd love to hit the Proton colony and take out the fort that is there. He is almost certainly an IT since he's obviously moving freighters around via gates w/ people on board. A couple of bombers added to the pile would annoy him even more.

On second thought, how far away are your warships? Smile

I am not to far away from the Protons - if I get wep 5 as well as energy 7 then I can start churning out croby/Minigun frigate horde (as can you). We could double team him and then a mini orgy could wipe a lot of his new colonies (even the one with 42K done right)

Its awfully early to be building that many ships, I'm hoping to get my economy going before I get into a serious fight. Our warmonger has cheaper weapons and an early weapons tech lead, however, so he's better off in an early fight. Later we can start worrying about building hordes of smarmy frigates. Smile
