As the title said, do we have people wanting to get into a simple, no-fancy-scenario, Stars! game?
5 or more players, universe size Medium or Large. Some agreed on rules about PRT's, etc.

Care to explain why? The Stars! community is not exactly a very friendly place for newcomers as it is.
I, for one, would certainly like to see a game directed purely at "new spawn", as you put it. They need to learn the ropes somewhere, y'know.
As Bob said,my main issue is it's more likely the new players get eaten up by more experienced neighbours.. and that results in a very skewed pointless game from the get-go, especially so in a no-comms game.
I know my minefields.. but I'm a chaff sweeper.
I used to curse when I got stuck in traffic... till I realised I AM traffic.Report message to a moderator

That makes sense, obviously This is also the reason why I would like to see a game directed purely at new players - perhaps with some guidance regarding basic "vs. human" gameplay by an experienced host. I was just getting an impression that this might be such a game, when I read that "simple, no-fancy-scenario" part of the OP.
I'm already gearing up for a "very-fancy-scenario" game anyway... so, I think I'll leave this one parked here

No, you don't. That's like reading up on how all the pieces move and saying you've got chess down.
But take heart! You will learn much in the months to come. Very Happy
That's what I meant. I've been studying the game for a little over a year now, and have finally hashed out some things about just playing. I'm certainly not "ready" vs humans. Sneakiness, what's actually important in competitive races, diplomatic scouting/settling, hiding prt/lrt's--that's what I need learned on.
As for easy vs tough neighbors, it's the natural order of things: when you join adult society, you're competitors aren't handicapped.
Besides that, I am considered for the game, "Get the Planet," if somebody doesn't show. I requested to be in that game first, so, you know.
