Although already mentioned in Stars! github organization, I thought my new tool perhaps is deserving of an own thread.
GalaxyView/GalaxyAnimator is a tool for showing a galaxy without actually opening Stars! It is implemented thanx to the great work performed by schneck and raptor on the dectyption and decoding of stars blocks.
I have now released version 0.2 of it as a runnable jar-file on https://github.com/stars-4x/starsapi/releases
Please give me feedback on this early version on what you think, and what should be added. A later goal will be to convert this to an android project so you can check your turn on your phone/tablet.
Highlights:
-Displays galaxy from multiple m/h-files if available
-Easy zoom and scrolling
-Easy planet-searching
-May colorize each player
-Mass-filter for fleets
-Button which cycles through 10 biggest enemy fleets
-May make an animation like the end-of-game-animation in the first civilization game if you have old turned stored in subdirectories ala 2400, 2401, 2402 etc

No, it is primarily a viewer, not a data exporter. I guess there should be no problems exporting some data to csv from the block infos though. This should perhaps be a separate tool. But have you tried the galaxyviewer-tool? What did you think of it? Wink

A new release of GalaxyViewer/GalaxyAnimator is now released as a runnable jar-file at https://github.com/stars-4x/starsapi/releases
You now have more cool filters for fleets, so that it is easy to show eg the latest nubian or battleship count pr player. GalaxyAnimator may now export animated gif-files. Very Happy

Hi,

I've published a new build of this as many important bugfixes were resolved. See GalaxyViewer 0.4 at:

https://github.com/stars-4x/starsapi/releases/

I hope that was OK, platon79
