I haven't been on this forum for a couple of years but I did play one or two games in the past. With Ron's help I have managed to resurrect my old account and once I've sorted out an old laptop running Windows 7 I should be able to get my copy of Stars! running again.
Nice to see a few old names on the forum but numbers and activity sadly reduced from what I remember. Not surprising I guess as new players will be a rarity!

Thank you , a bit of tumbleweed to clear away in a few places!
I had real problems logging onto here and it seems it was an issue with Chrome. Now using Firefox on Android on a tablet and Edge with Windows 10.

Welcome Back
Stars! runs great in 'Windows 10 32bit' not 64bit which is the standard.
It also runs great in Ubuntu 14.04 64bit using Wine.
I'm running Ubuntu on my main computer with Win-10-32bit running in a virtual machine because some things Wine just can't handle.
