I volunteer to choose last. I am probably right there with LittleEddie when it comes to experience in games vs. human players, but I wouldn't let Eddie choose last just because I think we're both equally experienced.

I have played against players before. 20 years ago, poorly, and I have a match I'm in now that I'm also doing poorly, but only half of that is a flawed racial build. The game would have been completely different if I didn't have to go 3 turns at warp 9 to reach the first planet that didn't want to kill my population, and that one had a Germ concentration of 5% for a race with 25 factories per 10k, a homeworld with 30% Germ conc, and no IFE.

I'll relinquish first pick to floater, and will send Iztok a PM with my first and second picks.

If all players make their choice in public, I don't think there should be any problem about knowing the other players' PRTs. In fact, I think it's more fair this way (otherwise player 2 would know what player 1 chose, player 3 would know what player 1 and 2 chose, and so on, based only on already selected PRTs).
That said, I do recommend that the player numbers be swapped around. If we keep player numbers the same as the line-up sequence, finding a player with a certain number would immediately give his PRT away. With numbers mixed up, finding a player's PRT would require some more work. Since there are a lot of new players and a few rusty veterans in this game, a rehearsal of "how to determine your neighbour's PRT" topic would be good to us all.

Actually public choices speed up the whole thing. Of course this is a no diplo game so a tight discipline is required. Since we have some rookies
it might be apt a longer time for testing.

But I decided I should get my hand in again before going in to such a full on enterprise.

Little Eddie, i feel sorry for the confusion. If u wish take he and i will take sd.
Imho sd can do better than he but the mm required is painfu andl without it sd cannot be played at all.

Looks like game is filled but if you have any last minute no shows please keep me in mind. I am a experienced player but almost always play either WM or IT. Any race other than CA would be ok.

Pls be patient I will change again taking PP. I never played pp and wanna see if it can prove a worthy race despite the general belief.
This leaves he and ca. If we all agree what about allowing two more players? It could be the first game filling every prt. We could just set a bigger universe.

I suggest that you contact dlrichert and Fabrice and see if they're still interested. Don't forget to let them know there are only two PRTs left to choose from.
If either one joins (or both), then I suggest the universe size be changed to Large. Other parameters need not be changed.

So, the current line-up looks like this:

IIRC, large dense would mean about 60 planets each for 10 players. Going to normal or sparse to get similar planet numbers to that advertised changes the game dynamics we've been play testing. But other than that, it is just getting too big and unwieldy. I'd prefer to keep to the advertised set up.
