I've read somewhere that making a game was not the initial idea behind Stars!, but it grew up out of a work project.

It seems to me that Stars! is a perfect global war simulator -- different economy styles, different doctrines -- who wins?

Random universe perfectly models city logistics and PRTs along with other parameters -- economy styles. Holistic technology-rich -- JOAT, improved logistics -- IT, PP, sustainable economy -- CA. Doctrines -- WM, IS, SD, SS -- speak for themselves. Factory costs along with resources pp define labor efficiency.

Also, it is not difficult to find few real-world Stars!-PRT-backed race examples...

What's your take on it?
