DD6 Players,

How did allowing mine damage allocation and mine damage dodge affect your game?

Did it make any difference during the early game?

How did it affect you SDs and SD fighters?

How do you feel about banning mine damage dodge now?

I can wrote for myself and my bro. Frankly, we did not used this bug - simply as it was unneccesary for our PRTs to waste even a single ship on minefields. Our enemies used it with some occasional success, but it was nubian horde that sweeped everything and breaked through our minefields, not combo of chaff+other.

It didnt. At least from our part. Since Cuspis/Spatha alliance used classic 5-sweeper fleets(at least as i remember), and our northern neigbours did not used advanced sweeping at all, we did not had any new experiences to share during early game period.

SD was able to replenish sweeped minefields quickly after sweepers were gone. Secondly, our enemies were not beginners, and were aware that detonating standard fields will handle chaff/sweeper combo easilly. I didnt noticed any significant number of chaff/single sweeper fleets, probably because of that fact. SD fighters....well, my bro did not had any fighters. Sweep/antisweep discussion is OT here Wink

I think, that it should be banned. It is exploitation of ingame calculation of damage. Usefullness of this bug is entirely another matter.
